About this image
St Michael's Church originally dates to the Norman period. The south door (seen in the photograph) has an unusual double chevron decoration. The present church was altered in the 19th century, when a west tower was added (by F J Robinson) and a new roof installed. The lady standing in the church doorway may be Mrs Adams, a caretaker.
