About this image
The baths were erected in 1830 on the lower west side of Ilkeston's then main street, known as Town Street (by the time of the 1841 census, it had been renamed Bath Street). In 1847 the first town railway station was built opposite on the east side. The baths were demolished in the spring of 1899.
