The mayor of Chesterfield is seated left of centre and to the right of him is Frank Williams MBE. Mr Williams worked at local engineering firm Markham's c 1930 to 1960 and was Works Manager. He had come from Bovis and Co Ltd at Stoke-on-Trent. The backdrop to this view is the now demolished Municipal Hall.
